What is BHRT?

BHRT involves the use of biologically identical hormones to replenish and balance hormone levels in the body.

Bioidentical hormones are chemically structured to match the hormones naturally produced by the body. Treatment decisions are
based on a comprehensive clinical evaluation and appropriate laboratory testing. Many FDA-approved bioidentical hormone options, including micronized progesterone and estradiol, are available through retail pharmacies. In certain cases, patient-specific compounded formulations may be prescribed when medically necessary. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and are not evaluated
by the FDA for safety or effectiveness

Why Test My Hormone Levels?

As we age our bodies begin to experience certain changes due to decreasing hormone levels. Commonly known as menopause in women and andropause in men, these changes can lead to symptoms such as fatigue, weight gain and belly fat, brain fog, migraines, difficulty sleeping, decreased libido and sexual dysfunction. These changes may be related to hormone deficiency or imbalance, and some patients may benefit from hormone therapy when clinically appropriate and medically supervised.

Is Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy Right for Me?

Listed below are the most common symptoms of hormone deficiency and imbalance for both men and woman. If you experience these symptoms, hormone therapy may be an option to discuss with a qualified medical provider. Our providers design and individualize your BHRT treatment based on the results of hormone labs and typically include: Estradiol, Progesterone, Testosterone, DHEA, Cortisol, and other clinically appropriate markers.

Body Mass Index (BMI) is a number calculated from a ratio of a person’s weight and height. The Learn2Lose BMI calculator provides an estimate of a person’s degree of obesity. It can help you determine if the amount of excess weight you are carrying puts you at risk for various weight-related health problems. As a general rule, as your BMI increases above the normal range, your risk of weight-related health conditions like type 2 diabetes, heart disease, sleep apnea, infertility, and certain cancers also increases.
